Homemade Cranberry Sauce with Orange and Cinnamon

Ok lets be honest canned cranberry sauce is delicious. By far one of my favorite things about the holidays. Leftover turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sandwiches? yes please, Ill take 3 a day. Now, as easy as it is to just open that can of cranberry sauce, this is almost equally as easy and probably 100 times more delicious.

Ingredients

Cranberries 24 Ounce
Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs) (granulated)
Cinnamon sticks 2 Large , halved
Orange zest 2 Tablespoon
Orange juice 2 Cup (32 tbs)

Directions

MAKING

1. In a pot over high heat, put together cranberries, water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, orange zest and juice.

2. Allow the cranberry mixture to a boil, stirring the bottom occasionally.

3. Once the sauce starts to boil, turn the heat to low and allow to simmer for 50 minutes.

4. Turn off the heat and allow the sauce to cool.

SERVING

5. Serve as desired.
