Stuffed Monaco Biscuit Sev Puri

Monaco biscuits are a popular tea-time accompaniment in India. In fact, some of us love it so much that we keep looking for more ways to enjoy it. How many of you remember taking Monaco biscuits sandwiched with cheese and pineapple in your snack box when you were kids? Well, here is another awesome recipe that both kids and adults will enjoy. It is so easy that kids can even try and make it themselves. The Stuffed Monaco Biscuit Sev Puri is quite innovative, and involves sandwiching the biscuits with a peppy potato mixture and coating it in crunchy sev. This sev puri with a twist can be served as a starter at parties. When making the stuffing make sure you mash and mix it well with your hands, to ensure proper application on the biscuit. Also serve the snack immediately after preparation or it will get soggy.

Ingredients

Biscuits 44 (Monaco biscuits)
Sev 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (For rolling)
Boiled mashed potatoes 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Finely chopped onions 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Finely chopped tomato 1 Tablespoon
Finely chopped coriander 1 Tablespoon (Dhania)
Hung yogurt 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sweet chutney 1 Tablespoon
Gram flour/Chick pea flour 1 Teaspoon , roast ((or chana ka atta / besan))
Green chutney 1 Tablespoon
Chicken drumsticks 12 , slitted
Garlic chutney 1 Teaspoon

Directions

Makes 22 stuffed sev puris.

MAKING:

1. Place a Monaco biscuit on a clean dry surface, spread 1 tsp stuffing on it, place another biscuit on the stuffing and press it lightly.

2. Roll the prepared stuffed biscuit in sev and coat it evenly from all the sides.

3. Repeat step 1 and 2 to make 21 more stuffed sev puris.

SERVING:

4. Serve immediately.
