Basic Cornbread Easy Holiday

Basic Cornbread recipe


Cornmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sugar 2 Tablespoon
Baking powder 1 Tablespoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Egg 1 Large
Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Vegetable oil 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)



1. Preheat the oven to 400F.



2. In a bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vegetable oil.4. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir to combine.5. Pour the batter into a greased 8 x 8 inch baking dish for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.



6. Serve as a side dish.
