Sliced banana makes simple chocolate chip cookies extra special.

Large flake oats | 250 Milliliter (1 cup) | |
Whole wheat flour | 125 Milliliter (1/2 cup) | |
Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
Semisweet chocolate chips | 200 Milliliter (2 cups) | |
Banana | 2 , sliced |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F or 180 degree C.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
MAKING
3. Using a stand mixer or with a hand blender, cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
4. Add egg and vanilla and mix until blended.
5. In a separate bowl, combine all purpose flour, wheat flour, oats, and baking soda.
6. On low speed, add the flour mixture into the wet mixture, a little at a time and mix until incorporated.
7. Mix in chocolate chips.
8. Add cut bananas and mix on low just until they are evenly distributed and some of the banana is mashed up.
9. Drop 2 tablespoons of dough on prepared baking sheets, about 2" (5cm) apart.
10. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
11. Cool cookies on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
