Peanut Brittle

This video shows you how to make peanut brittle from scratch at home. You'll be amazed by how easy it is, and you'll never buy it from those specialty candy shops again! Peanut brittle makes for a really great Christmas gift for your family and friends.

Ingredients

Vegetable oil 2 Teaspoon ((or cooking spray for greasing))
Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Light corn syrup 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Unsalted butter 2 Tablespoon
Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
Salted dry roasted peanuts 2 Cup (32 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Grease a half sheet pan with vegetable oil and set aside.

2. In a heavy bottomed saucepan, drop sugar and shake it back and forth to flatten.

3. Add corn syrup and water. Do not stir.

MAKING

4. Place the saucepan on medium heat and cook for 15-20 minutes or until it gets golden amber color and reaches 300 degree F when measured with thermometer.

5. Drop butter, baking soda, and salted peanuts. Mix well.

6. On the greased sheet pan, transfer the mixture. Press to spread evenly. Let it cool completely.

SERVING

7. Break into pieces, serve and enjoy.
