A great recipe for valentine's day!
Shortening | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Creamy peanut butter | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Egg | 1 | |
Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
Milk | 2 Tablespoon | |
All | purpose flour | |
Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Unsweetened cocoa powder | 3 Tablespoon | |
Red food coloring | To Taste | |
Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((for rolling)) | |

Getting Ready
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Making
In a bowl combine the shortening,
peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar and cream together with a mixer. Then add in the egg, vanilla extract and milk then beat together. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients and mix until well combined, then add in coloring.
Take the dough and form a 1-inch round ball then toss in a bowl of sugar and place on a baking sheet. Repeat the process with all of the dough. Then bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
After removing the cookies from the oven place 1 Hershey kiss into each cookie pushing halfway down.
