It's a pinata. It's a heart. It's a two in one, a double dose of candy that no one will be able to refuse this Valentine's day. Impress your loved ones with this lovely creation!
Sugar cookie dough | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Food coloring paste | 3 Drop (((pink and puple colour, or any of your favurite colour))) | |
Frosting | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) (((of your choice))) | |
Candy sprinkles | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (((m & m))) |
GETTING READY:
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
MAKING:
Roll out the sugar cookie dough and cut into two equal portions.
Mix the food colouring gel with two portions and mix well to make pink coloured and purple coloured dough.
Roll the coloured dough into 1/8” thick sheet. Ensure to dust the working surface with flour often.
Cut heart shape dough pieces (two different sizes) as shown in the video and place the dough hearts on baking sheet.
Pop into oven and bake for 4-6 minutes at 200°C. Make sure that the cookies don’t turn brown. Once done, allow to cool completely.
Make an icing ring on heart cookie without hole in middle. Place another cookie with hole in middle. Place alternative coloured cookies with center cut one after other in same order using icing to hold each other.
When three cookies are stacked, fill the indentation with candies or sprinkles. Top with another regular cookie.
Decorate with edible markers and decorative icing.
