A classic Christmas cookie recipe, which is easy to prepare and looks quite fancy.

Plain flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Salt 1 Pinch
Baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Butter 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , softened
Sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Yogurt/Sour cream 2 Tablespoon
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Using an electric mixer, cream together sugar and butter.

Add in the yogurt and vanilla extract, mix well.

Gradually stir in the flour mixture and mix with a spatula and later on mix with hands to form dough. Cover with a plastic wrap and let it sit in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Place the dough between two plastic wraps and roll until it’s ¼ inch thin. Cut using your favorite cookie cutter and dust with some sprinkles if you desire.

Place the cookies on the prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10 – 15 minutes.

Take out from the oven and let it cool for five minutes before moving to cooling rack.

Serve the cookies to the kids.
