One of the things we do in our family that kicks off Summer is blueberry picking at my uncles farm. We get up early and drive to the farm and pick as many gorgeous blueberries as we possibly can while chasing the peacocks that roam freely. We always have so much fun and then for the next few months I have bags of fresh blueberries. Last year while picking I ate so many that I got sick so I tried to restrain myself a little this year. After a long day of picking we always make ourselves special treats. We make blueberry pies, blueberry pancakes, blueberry mojitos, and this year a blueberry gin fizz. Yum!!
