The French 75 is a delightful champagne cocktail, which first appeared in "The Savoy Cocktail Book" by Harry Craddock in 1930. The drink get's it's name from the 75 millimeter field gun used in the first world war.
|Gin||1 1/2 Ounce|
|Fresh lemon juice||1/2 Ounce|
|Simple syrup||3/4 Ounce|
|Ice cube||1 Cup (16 tbs) , crushed|
|Champagne||5 Ounce (for topping)|
Shake gin, lemon juice and simple syrup with ice.
Strain into champagne flute.
Top with champagne.
Garnish lemon twist.
Serve and enjoy!
