King's Elixir Cocktail - Raising the Bar with Jamie Boudreau

An elixir fit for a king, this gin cocktail plays off Jamie's Golden Ration for cocktails. To cut the sweetness of the Gold Wasser (not schlager) ever so slightly, Jamie utilizes a simple technique using lemon zest.


Gin 1 1/2 Fluid Ounce
Dolin blanc 1/2 Fluid Ounce
Gold wasser 1/4 Fluid Ounce
Celery bitters 2 Dash (The bitter truth)
Ice cubes 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Lemon zest square 1



1. Take gin, dolin blanc, gold wasser, celery bitters in a glass.

2. Drop in some ice and stir everything up.

3. Spritz lemon zest oil over chilled coupe, also run it across the rim and then drop in the zest in the coupe. Strain the cocktail over the zest and then pull out the zest and discard it.


4. Serve it as it is and enjoy.
