Betty's Slow Cooker Cola Chuck Roast

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Slow Cooker Cola Chuck Roast. This is a flavorful entrée that is easy to make and also easy on the budget.

Ingredients

Chuck roast 3 Pound , trimmed of excess fat
Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
Garlic clove 1 , mince
Onion 1 Medium , chopped finely
Cream of mushroom soup 10 3/4 Ounce
Dry onion soup mix 1 Packet ((inner packet))
Cola beverage 12 Ounce
Sour cream 16 Ounce

Directions

MAKING

1. Place a 10 ½-inch skillet on flame and heat olive oil in it.

2. Using tongs, place chuck roast into hot oil and sear the bottom side for 2 minutes. Flip and sear on the other side for another 2 minutes.

3. Into a slow cooker, transfer the seared meat.

4. In a medium sized bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, and dry onion soup mix. Mix well and then stir in garlic and onion.

5. Spread mixture over the top, sides and bottom of roast.

6. Pour cola beverage, cover with the lid and cook on HIGH for 4 hours.

7. After 4 hours, remove meat from slow cooker and slice as desired.

8. Skim off fat and add sour cream to the liquid cooker. Stir or whisk until well mixed.

9. Return sliced meat and cook for another two hours on HIGH.

SERVING

10. Ladle slices of roast and sauce into a nice serving dish and serve immediately with bread toast.
