Chocolate Walnut Slice

Dough enriched with dark chocolate and condensed milk, interspersed with crunchy pieces of walnuts, and baked to perfection, makes a wonderful chocolate walnut slice that goes well with a cup of tea!

Ingredients

Plain flour 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Soda bi carb 1 Pinch
Coarsely ground walnuts 5 Tablespoon
Caster sugar 2 Tablespoon
Grated dark chocolate 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Condensed milk 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Melted butter 5 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C or 360 degree F.

MAKING

2. In a bowl, sieve the flour with the soda bi-carb. Add powdered walnuts and caster sugar. Mix well and set aside.

3. In a non-stick pan, add dark chocolate and condensed milk. Stir constantly and cook over low flame for 1 minute or until chocolate melts.

4. Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl with flour mixture. Add melted butter and mix well.

5. Into greased loose bottom cake tin, transfer the mixture and spread evenly.

6. Pop in oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Once cooled, cut into slices and store in an air-tight container.
