Chocolates swirled together and sprinkled with crushed candy canes makes the perfect, easy-to-make holiday gift!
Semi | sweet baking chocolate | |
White chocolate | 6 Ounce , chopped | |
Peppermint extract | 1/2 Tablespoon (Optional) | |
Peppermint candy canes | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) |
MAKING
1. In two microwave proof bowls, place in each white chocolate and semi sweet chocolate.
2. Place the bowl with semi sweet chocolate in the microwave on high setting for 1 minute, remove and stir until smooth, if needed microwave for 10 to 15 seconds more.
3. On a parchment lined baking tin, pour the melted chocolate and set aside.
4. Put the white chocolate in microwave on high setting for 1 minute, remove and stir until smooth, if needed microwave for 10 to 15 seconds more.
5. Add peppermint extract if using, into melted white chocolate and stir to mix well.
FINALIZING
6. Gently pour the white chocolate over semi sweet chocolate, and using knife swirl the chocolates together.
7. Sprinkle crushed candy on top and refrigerate until firm for about 1 hour.
8. Using parchment paper lift the bark from baking tray and break into pieces.
SERVING
9. Store the bark in an air tight container at room temperature.
10. Serve as desired.
