Chocolate Chip Cake

For chocolate chip cake
White cake mix 16 Ounce (2 Layer Size, 1 Package)
Semi sweet chocolate pieces
For sea foam frosting
Egg whites 2 (Unbeaten)
Brown sugar 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Light corn syrup/Cream of tartar 1/4 teaspoon
Cold water 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Salt 1 Dash
Vanilla 1 Teaspoon



1) Prepare cake mix as per the package directions. Save 3 tablespoons for later use.

2) Take 2 lightly greased 8x1 1/2- or 9x1 1/2-inch round pans and pour cake batter and chopped chocolate pieces in alternate layers.

3) Now, bake as per cake mix package instructions. Let it cool.

4) While cake is baking make sea foam frosting. In a double boiler, combine all ingredients except vanilla and using an electric beater, beat it for a minute.

5) Cook the mixture, beating constantly until frost form stiff peak, about 7 minutes. Replace it from heat and put it in mixing bowl.

6) Add vanilla and continue to beat for 2 minutes. Remove from boiling water.

Pour into mixing bowl, if desired. Add vanilla and beat till of spreading consistency, about 2 minutes.


7) Frost the cake with sea foam and decorate with reserved chocolate pieces.
