Chocolate Roses

Semi sweet chocolate/Bitter sweet chocolate 1/4 Pound
Corn syrup 3 Tablespoon
Water 1/8 Teaspoon



1) Onto a double boiler, melt the chocolate

2) Add in the corn syrup and water and stir well

3) Onto a baking sheet lined with plastic, pour the chocolate

4) Allow to stand for 6 hour till it-€™s no longer sticky

5) Take off the plastic wrap and in between 2 sheets of wax paper, roll out into 1mm thickness

6) Using a 2 inch cutter, cut out circles for the petals

7) Using the trimmings form into 1/ inch balls

8) Shape into a cone for the centre of the rose

9) Wrap the cone with the circles overlapping each other resembling the petals of he rose

10) Lightly press the outer edge of the circles and curl back

11) Place them onto a baking sheet with waxed paper

12) Cling wrap and refrigerate up to one week


13) Use the petals for decorating the cake
