Soy sauce | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Toasted sesame oil | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Honey | 1 Tablespoon | |
Garlic | 1 Clove (5 gm) , minced | |
Minced ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
For the slurry | ||
Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
Water | 1 Teaspoon | |
Other ingredients | ||
Vegetable oil | 3 Teaspoon | |
Boneless sirloin | 1 Pound , sliced into 2 x 1/2 inch strips (((tri tip, flank or skirt steak))) | |
Broccoli florets | 14 Ounce (((frozen or fresh))) |
GETTING READ
In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic and ginger.
Add in beef and toss well. Cover with saran wrap and marinate for 20 minutes to overnight.
MAKING
In an electric pan, heat vegetable oil and add in the beef. Cook for 4 minutes and remove beef to a clean bowl.
In the same pan, add in the broccoli and cook for 2 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch and water to make slurry. Pour into the marinade bowl and mix well.
Pour the marinade over the broccoli and add beef back to the pan, stir well and cook for 2 minutes.
SERVING
Serve over brown rice.
