Microwave Beef Chow Mein

Lean ground beef 1 Pound
Condensed beef consomme 10 1/2 Can (105 oz)
Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
Ground ginger 1/2 Teaspoon
Frozen chinese pea pods 6 Ounce (1 package)
Onion 1/2 Medium , thinly sliced
Mushrooms 1/4 Pound , thinly sliced
Celery stalk 1 , thinly sliced
Fresh bean sprouts 1/2 Pound
Hot cooked rice 2 Cup (32 tbs)



1. In a microwave oven, place glass casserole, add crumbled beef and cook on ROAST (7) for 6 minutes until it changes its color. Stir the beef once during cooking.

2. Drain.

3. Take a glass mixing bowl and combined soy sauce, consommé, garlic powder, cornstarch and ginger.

4. Cook the mixture on a setting of high HIGH (9) for about 7 minutes until the mixture becomes thick. Stir the mixture twice during the cooking time.

5. Spoon the thickened mixture over cooked beef.

6. Add all other vegetables except the bean sprouts.

7. Cook the mixture on REHEAT (8) for about 10 minutes until they turn hot. Add bean sprouts during the last of 3-5 minutes of cooking.


8. Serve the beef chow mein hot with rice.
