Ingredients

Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Pork 1/2 Pound , diced
Veal 3/4 Pound , diced
Beef 1/2 Pound , diced
Fat 2 Tablespoon
Soy sauce 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Celery 1 1/4 Bunch (125 gm) (In 1/2 Inch Slices)
Onion 1 Small , chopped
Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Canned water chestnuts 12 Ounce , drained, sliced (Two 6 Ounce Cans)
Bean sprouts 20 Ounce , drained (One No. 2 Can, 2 1/2 Cups)
Canned broiled sliced mushrooms 3 Ounce (1 Can)
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste

Directions

Brown meats in hot fat; add soy sauce and 1 cup water; simmer 2 minutes.

Add celery and onion; simmer 1 1/2 hours.

Blend cornstarch and water; stir into meat mixture.

Add chestnuts, bean sprouts, and mushrooms; heat through.

Season.

Serve over rice or chow-mein noodles.
