Chinese Style Spare Ribs On the Weber Kettle

Enjoy this Chinese style barbecued spare ribs recipe ! Hot, yummy and easy!

Ingredients

Pork spare rib strips 18
For bbq sauce:
Freshly minced garlic 5 Clove (25 gm)
Minced sweet pineapple 1 Tablespoon
Star anise 1 , ground
Salt 1 Tablespoon
Sugar 5 Tablespoon
Honey 2 Tablespoon
Peanut oil 2 Tablespoon
Hoisin sauce 2 Tablespoon
Ground bean sauce 1 Teaspoon
Tomato puree 2 Tablespoon
Ketchup 5 Tablespoon
5 spice powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Orange juice 2 Tablespoon
Fresh ground pepper 1 Teaspoon
Paprika 1/2 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY:

For the sauce, in a large bowl, combine garlic, pineapple, star anise, 5 spice, paprika, salt, honey, peanut oil, hoisin sauce, sugar, bean sauce, tomato puree, ketchup, orange juice, pepper and paprika. Mix well for the ingredients to blend.

Combine spare rib pieces with prepared sauce in a ziplock bag and allow it for marinating for 6 hours to overnight.

Preheat grill to 300-350°F.

 

MAKING:

Arrange the spare rib pieces over the grill.

Grill for 45-50 minutes.
