These Sweet Chili Lime Wings are so easy to make and we're baking them so...less guilt. Enjoy :D
Chicken wings | 3 Pound , cleaned and cut at the joint | |
All purpose seasoning | 1 Tablespoon | |
Kosher salt | To Taste | |
Extra virgin olive oil/Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
For sauce | ||
Garlic | 1 Clove (5 gm) , finely minced | |
Fresh squeezed lime juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Sambal | 1 Tablespoon | |
Honey | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and place the rack. Set aside.
MAKING
2. In a large bowl, season all of the chicken with the Grand Diamond Seasoning and salt.
3. If you have oven racks, place them on the sheet tray and then proceed to laying the chicken out on the racks with the skin side up. Roast the wings for 35 to 45 minutes.
4. For sauce - preheat a large sauce pan over medium-high heat.
5. Add in the olive oil; allow it to preheat for about 1 minute. Add in the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Next pour in the lime juice, sambal, honey and salt. Stir. Cook the sauce for 10 minutes.
6. In a medium bowl, add the corn starch and about ¾ cup of the simmering sauce. Whisk the corn starch into the sauce until it’s dissolved and there are no more lumps. Then pour the mixture back into the pot. Whisk the entire pot of sauce and cook for another 10 to 15 minutes.
SERVING
7. Pour the desired amount of sauce over the wings and toss until well coated. Serve hot.
