In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Oven Barbecued Chicken Drumsticks. The sauce used in this recipe is in the previous upload, Betty's Basic Barbecue Sauce. You may choose a more elaborate sauce, such as Betty's Bourbon Barbecue Sauce, Betty's Own Barbecue Sauce, a sauce of your own making, or a bottled sauce that you can pick up at your local grocery store.

Chicken drumstick 10 Large
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste
Cooking oil spray 5 Dash
Barbecue sauce 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (as required)
To garnish
Fresh parsley leaves 1 Tablespoon
Pineapple chunks 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)

1. Set the oven to broiler.

2. Line a baking sheet and broiling pan with foil. Place the broiling pan into the baking sheet.

3. Spray the broiling pan with cooking spray and place the chicken drumsticks on it. Sprinkle with salt and pepper on both sides to taste. Spray the chicken with cooking spray.

4. Put it in the oven and broil it for 30 minutes while turning and spraying it with cooking oil at regular intervals to cook evenly.

5. After 30 minutes remove the chicken from the oven and brush the barbecue sauce over it generously on all sides. Put it back in the oven for 10 minutes and repeat it one more time or till the chicken is fully done. Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes for the juices to settle.

6. In a serving plate, serve the chicken garnished with parsley leaves and pine apple chunks.

The oven door can be left open or closed as desired.
