Oven-Fried Chicken

Ok so these are 'oven fried' that doesn't mean 'diet'... If you want can you can very easily leave out the grated cheese, and cut back on the garlic - but you definitely should use the Panko, as it gives the fantastic crunch to this chicken.

Ingredients

Unsalted butter 3 Cup (48 tbs) (175 mL)
Garlic cloves 3 , minced (2
Panko 1 Cup (16 tbs) (250 mL)
Bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs) (250 mL)
Freshly grated parmigiano reggiano cheese 2 Cup (32 tbs) (150 mL)
Coarse salt 2 Teaspoon
Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
Whole chicken 3 Pound , cut up or 10 pieces thighs & legs

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F or 180 degree C.

MAKING

2. In a small saucepan, combine butter and garlic. Place the pan on flame and heat on medium low just to melt the butter. Remove from heat and let cool.

3. In a shallow baking pan, mix grated cheese with panko, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.

4. Pour the cooled butter garlic mixture into another shallow baking pan.

5. Dip each chicken piece into the melted garlic butter and then roll in the bread crumb mixture. Turn until coated on all sides.

6. On a baking sheet, arrange the chicken in one layer. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until lightly browned and cooked through.

SERVING

7. Serve and enjoy!

TIPS

If you don’t like garlic substitute it with any BBQ sauce, hot sauce or herb.
