Cajun Cafe Bourbon Chicken

Cafe Cafe Bourbon Chicken is just like the Cajun Chicken you will find in many malls. This recipe actually contains bourbon, unlike that of many shopping malls. This chicken is make with chicken thighs so it is less expensive than using just white meat.


Boneless skinless chicken thigh 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Onion 2 Tablespoon
Ginger 1/2 Teaspoon
Bourbon 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (jim beam)
Soy sauce 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Brown sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
Oil 1 Tablespoon
Garlic 1/2 Teaspoon



1. Using a sharp knife, cut the chicken into bite size pieces.

2. In a bowl, place chicken, corn starch, and toss well to coat the chicken.


3. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar and bourbon.

4. In a wok over high heat, heat oil and add in ginger, garlic, onions and chicken and stir fry for about 6 to 8 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

5. Pour in the bourbon mixtures and stir well to coat the chicken and allow to cook for 1 minute.


6. Serve the Cajun Café Bourbon Chicken, over the bed of steamed rice.
