Cheesy Chicken and Ham Bundles

Ingredients

Water 2 1/2 Cup (40 tbs)
Chicken flavored bouillon cubes 3
Chicken breast halves 6
Dry sherry 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Frozen patty shells 10 Ounce (1 Package)
Prepared mustard 6 Tablespoon (1/4 Cup Plus 2 Tablespoons)
Fines herbes 3/4 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 1/8 Teaspoon
Monterey jack cheese slices 6 Ounce (1 Ounce Per Slice)
Cooked ham slices 6 Ounce (1 Ounce Per Slice)
Egg white 1 , beaten

Directions

MAKING

1) Take a Dutch oven and combine together water and bouillon cubes in it. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly until bouillon cubes are dissolved.

2) Add sherry and chicken. Bring the mixture to a boil again.

3) Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for about 20 minutes or until chicken becomes tender.

4) Let chicken cool while still in the broth for about 30 minutes.

5) Remove chicken and allow the mixture to cool completely.

6) Reserve the broth for later. Remove skin and bone from chicken.

7) Allow the patty shells to stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

8) Take a small bowl and mix together fines herbes, garlic powder and mustard in it.

9) Spread 1 tablespoon mustard mixture over each chicken piece.

10) Wrap chicken piece with a cheese slice and a ham slice. Set aside.

11) Roll out all patty shells into 8 inch circles.

12) Place a chicken piece with seam side down at the center of each pastry circle.

13) Bring the sides of pastry to overlap at the center. Moisten with water and pinch together.

14) Fold the ends of pastry. Moisten and pinch together.

15) Place the wrapped piece with seam side down on an ungreased baking sheet.

16) Brush with egg white. Sprinkle sesame seeds, if desired.

17) Repeat the procedure with all remaining ingredients.

18) Chill the bundles for about 30 minutes.

19) Preheat oven to 450° F.

20) Place the bundles in oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown at a temperature of 400° F.

SERVING

21) Place on a platter and serve with reserved broth.
