Chicken Fried

Chicken 1 , disjointed
Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
Cloves 4
Cinnamon stick 1 Teaspoon
Peppercorns 10
Red chilies 6
Ginger 2 Inch
Garlic flakes 10
Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
Vinegar 1 Tablespoon
Tomatoes 3 Large , peeled, sliced
Potatoes 2 Large
Coriander leaves 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Salt To Taste


Peel the potatoes and cut into long thick fingers.

Fry till they start changing colour.


Mix in salt and fry them once again till crisp and golden.

Grind all the spices with ginger and garlic to a paste.

Mix the paste with salt and vinegar and apply on the chicken.

Set aside for 1 hour, then put the chicken and 1 cup water in a pan and cook over a slow fire till tender and dry.

Pour in 3 tblsps oil and fry till red.

Add tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes turn tender and gravy thick.

Serve the chicken surrounded by potatotes and decorated with coriander leaves.
