Ginger Fried Chicken

Boneless chicken, marinated in ginger, garlic, vinegar and soy sauce, lightly breaded and fried.

Ingredients

Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm) , minced
Minced ginger 1 Tablespoon
Soy sauce 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Vinegar 2 Tablespoon (rice or cider)
Brown sugar 1 Teaspoon (optional)
Boneless chicken 1 Medium , cut into 1 1/2 inches square
Cornstarch 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
All purpose flour 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep frying)
Lemon/Lime 1 , cut into wedges

Directions

MAKING:

In a bowl, combine garlic, ginger, soy, vinegar and mix well.

Place chicken pieces for 15 minutes to 1 hour.

In a shallow bowl, combine corn starch, flour, salt and mix well.

Drain marinade from chicken and coat each pieces with flour mixture.

Transfer to a separate plate and allow to sit for 10 minutes.

Heat oil to 350F and fry the chicken pieces in batches for about 6 minutes.

 

SERVING:                       

Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy!
