Boneless chicken, marinated in ginger, garlic, vinegar and soy sauce, lightly breaded and fried.
Garlic | 1 Clove (5 gm) , minced | |
Minced ginger | 1 Tablespoon | |
Soy sauce | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon (rice or cider) | |
Brown sugar | 1 Teaspoon (optional) | |
Boneless chicken | 1 Medium , cut into 1 1/2 inches square | |
Cornstarch | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Oil | 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep frying) | |
Lemon/Lime | 1 , cut into wedges |
MAKING:
In a bowl, combine garlic, ginger, soy, vinegar and mix well.
Place chicken pieces for 15 minutes to 1 hour.
In a shallow bowl, combine corn starch, flour, salt and mix well.
Drain marinade from chicken and coat each pieces with flour mixture.
Transfer to a separate plate and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
Heat oil to 350F and fry the chicken pieces in batches for about 6 minutes.
SERVING:
Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy!
