Let's learn to make fabulous BBQ chicken.
|Oil||1 Tablespoon , divided (For greasing)|
|Lemon pepper||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Season salt||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic powder||1 Tablespoon|
|For bbq sauce|
|Ketchup||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Worcheshire sauce||1/4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1/4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Liquid smoke flavoring||2 Tablespoon|
|Hot sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Black pepper||1/2 Tablespoon|
Preheat the grill to 250 degrees F.
For rub – in a bowl, add in all the ingredients and set aside.
Pour the oil over the chicken and rub; season the chicken with rub and spread evenly.
Place on the grill; meanwhile, prepare the sauce – in a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients.
When chicken is cooked for an hour, start coating the meat with BBQ sauce and then after every 15 – 20 minutes until done.
Chicken is done when internal temperature reaches 165 – 170 degrees F.
Slice the chicken and serve with some more BBQ sauce if desired.
