Alonti's Chicken Dijon

Are you looking for a new way to prepare chicken breast? Check out this simple to prepare chicken. It is made with dijon mustard, cream, and a little more. This is certain to please the entire crowd. You can even jazz this recipe up with some Sherry.

Ingredients

Butter 2 Tablespoon
Peanut oil/Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
Kosher salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground black pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
Boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 Pound
Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm) , chopped
Dry sherry/Low sodium chicken broth 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Heavy cream 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Dijon mustard 2 Tablespoon (OR 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard and 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard)

Directions

GETTING READY

Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally.

MAKING

Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat a large skillet to medium heat and add peanut oil and butter. Place chicken pieces and cook on both sides until the chicken is done.

Remove chicken from the skillet and place in a plate. Set aside.

To the skillet, add garlic and saute until the garlic becomes fragrant.

Pour dry Sherry and deglaze the pan by scraping the browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Add heavy cream and mustard. Stir the sauce until it is thoroughly mixed.

SERVING

Serve chicken and spoon sauce over the chicken.
