Stemilt Sweet Bourbon Cherries

The cherry season is never long enough, and while you can find these Stemilt cherries as late as September, knowing how to prolong the beauty of fresh cherries is the best way to keep summer going well into the first days of autumn. While fresh cherries are not the cheapest fresh fruit available, these Stemilt cherries are hand-picked and delicately transported nationwide --Cherries are definitely an
indulgence, but one that's a must! My recipe for Bourbon cherries is so versatile, not just for cocktails, they turn every day dishes into celebrations try them on ice cream, in pies, in your compote recipes or do as I do and just pop them in your mouth.

Ingredients

Bourbon 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Fresh stemilt cherries 1 Cup (16 tbs) , pitted

Directions

GETTING READY:

1. Fill an air-tight jar with pitted sweet cherries and then top with Bourbon.

MAKING:

2. Allow to rest until the cherries are dark brown, usually 10 days from sealing the jar.

SERVING

3. Serve and enjoy the bourbon cherries!
