Canned Cherries Jubilee

Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Canned bing cherries juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Canned bing cherries 2 Cup (32 tbs) , pitted
Brandy/Kirsch 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Vanilla ice cream 1 Pint


Mix cornstarch, sugar and cherry juice slowly, stirring until smooth.

Cook in a chafing dish over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce reaches boiling point and is slightly thickened.

Stir in lemon juice.

Add cherries and remove from heat.

Pour warmed brandy or Kirsch over sauce and cherries.

Light with match and carry to the table flaming.

Serve at once over ice cream.
