Chicken Divan

Ingredients

Butter 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Flour 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Chicken broth 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Whipped cream 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Sherry 3 Tablespoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/8 Teaspoon
Frozen broccoli 20 Ounce , cooked and drained (2 Packages, 10 Ounces)
Chicken slices 12 , cooked
Parmesan cheese 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , grated

Directions

MAKING

1) In a deep skillet, melt butter.

2) Stir in flour.

3) Gradually add chicken broth, stirring often.

4) Cook until thick.

5) Remove the broth from heat, and add cream, sherry, salt and pepper.

6) Cook again for 10 minutes.

7) To a baking dish, place the broccoli.

8) On top of the dish, pour half of the sherry sauce.

9) On top of these, arrange slices of cooked chicken.

10) Now, over these, pour the remaining sauce and sprinkle with cheese.

11) Under a broiler, place this baking dish, for 5 minutes.

SERVING

12) Garnish with parsley and serve hot
