GETTING READY
1. Defrost the broccoli in the microwave for about 3 minutes until thawed.
2. Empty the broccoli packages into a large (3 quart) microwaveable casserole or dish
3. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients except the topping, and mix well.
4. Turn the mixture over the broccoli. Keep aside
5. To make the topping, melt the butter in a small bowl for ½ minute in the microwave.
6. Stir in breadcrumbs and cheese.
7. Scatter the topping evenly over the broccoli mixture.
8. Use waxed paper to cover the dish.
FINALIZING
9. Place casserole in the microwave and cook for about 14 minutes, until hot and topping is golden.
SERVING
10. Serve straight out of the casserole accompanied by pasta or rice if you like.
