Betty's Ground Beef Tater Tot Casserole

Betty demonstrates how to make Ground Beef and Tater Tot Casserole. This recipe was sent in by Tori Durham of Burlington in Ontario Canada. It is a wonderful main course for a company meal or just an everyday meal. It tastes fantastic!


Ground beef 2 Pound
Salt 2 Teaspoon
Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
Cream of mushroom soup 10 1/2 Ounce (can)
Sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((low fat is okay)
Finely shredded cheddar cheese 2 Cup (32 tbs) , divided
Frozen tater tots 32 Ounce


Getting Ready

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 


Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Brown ground beef. 

Season with salt and pepper, while browning. Drain. 

Spread ground beef in the prepared baking dish. 

Stir together soup and sour cream. Spread over ground beef in an even layer. 

Sprinkle one cup of cheddar cheese over the soup layer. 

Top with tater tots. Bake 30 minutes. 

Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. 

Bake another 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted.
