Easy Cheeseburger Casserole

turn leftover Cheeseburgers into a simple and delicious strata! If you ever grill, you know that there are always leftover burger buns. Here's how to use them up, along with those burgers and cheddar cheese slices. I promise your family will devour this!


Diced onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Garlic cloves 2 , minced
Bell pepper 1 , diced
Dried thyme 1 Tablespoon
Ketchup 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Egg 8
Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Hamburger buns 8
Hamburgers 8 , grilled
Cheddar cheese slice 12
Salt and pepper To Taste



Preheat oven to 375F.

Cut the bun into cubes.


In a sauté pan, melt butter, sauté onion along with garlic, pepper and thyme until onions are soft.

Season with salt and pepper. Crumble and add hamburger, add ketchup, stir and cook for few minutes.

In a large mixing bowl, break in the eggs, add milk and whisk until well combined. Add cubes, allow to soak for few minutes.

In a casserole dish, evenly spread a layer of half of the egg mixture, followed by half of the meat mixture, arrange 6 slices of cheese. Repeat the layering keeping the top layer as cheese.

Bake at 375F for 30 minutes.


Serve with your choice of beverage.
