Honey-Glazed Carrots with Cumin

A delicious side dish that can be served with any meal. The cumin adds a smokiness to the carrots that make it very good.

Ingredients

Unsalted butter 2 Tablespoon
Carrots 3 Pound , sliced
Low sodium chicken broth
Honey 2 Tablespoon
Cumin 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1/4 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

MAKING

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in carrots.

2. Add broth, honey and cumin; season with salt and pepper.

3. Raise heat to high; bring to a boil.

4. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook until carrots are just tender, about 7 minutes.

5. Uncover, raise heat to high and boil until most of the liquid has evaporated and carrots are shiny and glazed, for 12 minutes.

SERVING

6. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed and serve.
