Betty demonstrates how to make Curry Canapes. This is a great appetizer for a Super Bowl party.

Finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Ripe olives 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Finely chopped onion 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Mayonnaise 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Curry powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Pumpernickel bread loaf 1 Small

In a medium-sized bowl, mix together Cheddar cheese, ripe olives, onion, mayonnaise, and curry powder.

Spread on party rye or pumpernickel bread, which has been cut diagonally.

Broil at 400 degrees (F) in a preheated oven for 5 minutes.

Change oven setting to highest temperature and broil for 30 seconds longer.

Remove from oven when cheese is bubbly and beginning to brown.

Serve immediately while hot (or warm).
