Choco Wine Cake

A delectable dessert not only for celebrations but also any time of the year. With a hint of wine this cake is perfect for entertaining guests and serving a slice with a side of vanilla ice cream!


Cake mix 250 Gram
Vegetable oil 36 Gram
Eggs 2 Small
Chopped nuts 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , chopped (Your choice of nuts)
Red wine 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Chocolate syrup 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)



1)On a cutting board chop the nuts till they are coarse but powdery. For this recipe I have used some almonds, dates, cashews,dried grapes and pistachios.

2)Gather these chopped nuts in a bowl and pour over the wine. Soak this overnight.


3)In a large bowl whisk together the eggs and the vegetable oil.

4)After the wet ingredients have combined well add in the cake mix and the soaked nuts. Combine everything together. Pour into a greased microwave safe bowl or cake mould.

5)With the microwave on full capacity let it cook for 6 minutes or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool down completely.


6)Take it out of the mold gently and drizzle the chocolate syrup over the top. Cut into portions and serve.
