GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
MAKING
2. In a large mixing bowl, add sugar and butter. Beat until light and creamy.
3. Gradually drop egg and beat after each addition.
4. Throw vanilla, flour, cinnamon, and baking powder into the bowl. Mix well.
5. Add sour cream and mix just to combine.
6. Drop pecans, and fold to spread evenly.
7. In a 9-inch springform pan, pour the mixture.
8. Cut a row of deep slits in each apple half. Press them into batter.
9. Pop it in oven, and bake for 75 minutes or until skewer when inserted in the center comes out clean.
10. Remove cake from oven, and apply butter on it.
11. For topping in a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
FINALIZING
12. Sprinkle sugar cinnamon mixture on top of cake.
SERVING
13. Cut into slices and serve with a cup of tea.
