Betty's Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Betty demonstrates how to make Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting for topping the Rich Chocolate Cupcakes, a recent recipe in Bettys Kitchen. This frosting is a standard cream cheese frosting with cocoa powder added.


Cream cheese 4 Ounce , softened
Butter 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , softened
Vanilla extract 1/2 Teaspoon
Confectioner’s sugar 8 Ounce
Cocoa powder 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)



Place 4 ounces softened cream cheese, ¼ cup softened butter, and ½ teaspoon vanilla in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer at medium speed until creamy. 

Add 8 ounces confectioner's sugar and beat at medium speed until smooth and spreadable. 

At this point, save a small amount of frosting in a small bowl if you plan to add food coloring and decorate the top of your dessert. 

Spread frosting on cooled cake, cupcakes, or cookies. 

Note:This frosting will be used on the Rich Chocolate Cupcakes in Betty’s Kitchen.
