Milk | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (125ml) | |
Water | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
Instant coffee powder | 3 Teaspoon (optional) | |
Castor sugar | 1 3/4 Cup (28 tbs) (super fine white sugar) | |
All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Self rising flour | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Unsweetened cocoa powder | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Eggs | 2 | |
Semi sweet dark chocolate | 180 Gram | |
Whipping cream | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) |
GETTING READY:
Preheat oven to 300°F/150°C.
Grease and line cake tin.
MAKING:
In a large saucepan, melt dark chocolates.
Add butter, milk, water, coffee powder, castor sugar and mix well. Stir until melted and remove from heat.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes and add flours, cocoa powder and eggs.
Whisk well until well combined.
Pour into cake pan and pop into oven.
Bake for 1 ½ hours. Once done, allow to cool completely.
For ganache, combine chocolate and cream in a bowl and microwave until melted.
Pour ganache over cake.
