The cutest strawberry shortcake recipe EVER! Homemade strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream is perfect for a special breakfast or dessert.
|Brown sugar||3 Tablespoon|
|Vanilla extract||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs) , whipped to soft peaks ((for serving))|
|All purpose flour||1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|White sugar||1 Tablespoon|
|Baking powder||1 3/4 Teaspoon|
|Heavy cream||15 Tablespoon ((1 cup minus 1 tablespoon))|
|Raw sugar||2 Tablespoon|
1.Prepare strawberries as shown in the video and combine with brown sugar and vanilla extract. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
2.Preheat oven to 450F. Grease baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
3.In a large bowl, sift together flour, white sugar, baking powder and mix well.
4.Add heavy cream in small batches and mix until well combined.
5.Flour the working surface and knead the dough using hands until it turns to a soft ball.
6.Roll out and cut shapes as shown in the video. Make bunny shape and brush remaining cream over it. Sprinkle sugar over it.
7.Pop into oven and bake for 15-18 minutes until bottoms turn light brown.
8.Whip the heavy cream for 5-8 minutes until stiff peaks.
9.Once done, split the cake and stuff with prepared chilled strawberries and whipped cream.
10.Serve and enjoy!
