Apple Cake- Fall Harvest Cake

Spiced apple cake recipe with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, decorated with handmade marzipan fruits. This delicious apple cake recipe is perfect for Thanksgiving or any fall harvest celebration. All purpose flour 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Baking powder 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground ginger 1 Teaspoon
Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Nutmeg 1/2 Teaspoon
Allspice 1/4 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Eggs 2
Milk 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Softened butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (1/4 pound)
For filling:
Powdered sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Granny smith apple/About a cup 1 , grated
Sliced almonds 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Cinnamon 1 Tablespoon
For cream cheese frosting:
Cream cheese 4 Ounce , cut into chunks
Soft butter 3 Tablespoon
Cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon
Vanilla extract 2 Teaspoon
Sifted powdered sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)



1.Preheat the oven to 350F.

2.Grease cake pans, line with parchment paper and keep it ready.


3.In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, grated apple, almonds, cinnamon and mix well. Keep it aside.

4.In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, salt and mix well.

5.Add eggs, milk, vanilla extract and blend well. Add butter and beat in a low speed.

6.Divide the dough evenly into two pans.

7.Spread prepared apple mixture over one of the cake dough.

8.Pop into oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool on racks.

9.For frosting, beat cheese, butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract and sifted powdered sugar in medium speed, until it turns soft.

10.Stack plain cake over the cake with apple filling, and apply frosting as shown in the video. Decorate with marzipan fruits.


11.Serve and enjoy!
