Chocolate Melting Cake like Carnival Cruise Line

Enjoy this chocolate melting cake like Carnival Cruise line. This is an easy chocolate dessert to make. This dish is also known as chocolate lava cake. This can be easily prepared ahead of time, and baked just before serving, making this perfect for a dinner party.


Butter 6 Ounce
Baking chocolate 6 Ounce
Eggs 2
Egg yolks 2
Sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Vanilla extract 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt 1/4 Teaspoon
Flour 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Butter 2 Teaspoon (For greasing)
Powdered sugar 2 Teaspoon (for dusting)



Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the ramekins with butter and set aside.



In a small bowl, melt together chocolate and butter in the microwave. Melt for 30 seconds and stir, and repeat until chocolate and butter are melted.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, egg yolks and sugar until lighter in color and foamy.

Add melted chocolate to egg mixture. Stir in vanilla extract, salt, and flour.

Pour batter into dishes. Cover dish with plastic and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Place the ramekins in baking tray and fill with hot water, bake for approximately 12 to 15 minutes.



Dust with powdered sugar, and serve with a scoop of ice cream if desired.
