Four Roses Bourbon Burger

A killer gourmet burger with a bourbon, bacon and onion jam. Made with Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon.


For reduction
Diced smoked bacon 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
White onion 1 Medium , chopped
Bourbon 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Apple cider vinegar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Brown sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Coriander seed 1 Teaspoon
Dried mustard powder 1 Teaspoon
Crushed red pepper 1 Pinch
Kosher salt 2 Pinch
For patties
Ground ribeye steak 1 Pound (more than 1/3 pound per patties)
Sea salt To Taste , smoked
Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
Aged gouda cheese 25 Gram , shaved (as needed)
For assmebling burger
Bun 4
Melted butter 2 Tablespoon (as needed)
Baby arugula 50 Gram (as needed)
Heirloom tomato 1/2 , sliced (as needed)



For Reduction:

1. Place a saucepan on flame, cook bacon until oil renders and then saute onion until caramelized.

2. Turn off the heat and pour bourbon. Turn the flame back on to medium, add apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, coriander seed, mustard powder, crushed red pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Remove from heat and let cool.

For Patties:

3. Roll meat into patties and pop in fridge until ready to use.

4. Remove patties from fridge and season it with salt and pepper on one side.

5. Place patties on hot grill, season side down and sprinkle salt and pepper on the other side. Cook until done.

6. Place aged Gouda cheese on patties and cook until it melts.

7. Spread melted butter on buns and toast on grill.


8. On bottom side of bun, lay baby arugula, followed by tomato slice, patty, and reduction. Cover with the top half.


9. Serve and enjoy!
