Wendy's New Bacon Cheeseburger - Clone

Wendy's restaurant is testing a new burger in select locations. I have not seen them here in Texas so I decided to create my own. The burger itself is not very different, what is new is the pretzel bun that they are using. John over at mancavemeals recently made pretzel buns so I thought I'd give them a try. They are awesome!

Ingredients

Pretzel rolls 6 , toasted, halved
Ground meat 1 Pound
Tomato slices 6
Cheese slices 12
Yellow mustard 6 Teaspoon
Ketchup 6 Teaspoon (spicy)
Bacon slices 12
Lettuce leaves 12

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Line a tray with foil.

2. Spread the meat evenly onto the tray and refrigerate for a couple of hours.

3. Cut the refrigerated meat into 4 to 5 inch squares.

MAKING

4. On a heated grill, place the meat squares, flip when done from one side and place cheese slices over it.

5. On the lower part of the bun spread mustard and ketchup, place two meat slices along with the cheese slice.

6. Place two bacon slices, tomato slice and the lettuce, cap the bun with the top half. Repeat the process to make several burgers.

SERVING

7. Serve with your choice of beverage.
