My Family Lamb Burger

Ingredients

Ground lamb 2 Pound
Onion salt/Garlic salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Chopped green onions 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Sherry/Fresh lemon juice 4 Tablespoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Sugar 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground basil/Ground thyme 1/2 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1) Preheat the broiler.

2) In a medium bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion or garlic salt, green onions, sherry or lemon juice, salt, sugar, basil or thyme and pepper.

MAKING

3) Mix well and shape the mixture into patties. Do this gently without packing in the ingredients too tight.

4) Place the patties on the broiler grill about 3 inches from the heat source. Broil the patties for about 6 to 8 minutes per side.

SERVING

5) Assemble the burgers by place the patties between toasted burger buns. Use accompaniments of your choice like tomato slices, lettuce, mustard etc.

TIP

The lamb patties taste best when cook to rare.
