These creamy, cool little pieces of candy are absolutely divine, and make great gifts, and taste exactly (if not better) than york peppermint patties. What's more, they are so simple to make!

Confectioners’ sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs) , sifted
Softened butter 1 1/2 Tablespoon
Peppermint extract/12 drops peppermint oil 2 Teaspoon
Vanilla extract 1/4 Teaspoon
Heavy cream 2 Tablespoon
Bitter chocolate 8 Ounce (200 g)
Vegetable shortening/Oil 1 Tablespoon
Sprinkles 2 Tablespoon (optional, peppermint flavored, for garnishing)

Line baking tray with parchment paper and sprinkle confectioners’ sugar over it.

In a bowl, combine butter, 1 cup of sugar and beat well.

Add peppermint extract, vanilla extract and heavy cream. Beat until well combined and add remaining sugar. Beat well.

Scoop even mounts of mixture and roll into ball using powdered sugar.

Place over parchment paper and press to desired thickness.

Pop into refrigerator and chill for 15 minutes.

Melt chocolate with shortening using double boiler or microwave. Dip the chilled patties into chocolate and chill until chocolate hardens. Garnish with peppermint sprinkles if desired.

Serve and enjoy!
