Black Pepper Encrusted Burgers

This is my entry into a burger collaboration with several other Tastemade members.

Ingredients

Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
Coarse ground black pepper 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Burger patty 2 (weighing 1/3 pound each)
Kosher salt To Taste
Pepper jack cheese slices 2
Burger buns 2 , halved
Spicy brown mustard 1 Tablespoon
Lettuce leaves 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Tomato slices 4

Directions

GETTING READY:

Soak the oak planks in water for an hour.

Heat a saucepan with olive oil and sauté black pepper in it for 10 minutes. Allow it to cool once done.

MAKING:

Spread the sautéed black pepper over the burgers.

Place the oak planks over the griller (smooth side facing heat) and then after a while flip them.

Place the burgers on the planks and allow it to cook for around 25 minutes.

Toast the burger buns on the griller simultaneously.

Place the cheese slices over the patties, top with brown mustard, lettuce leaves, tomato slices and top with burger buns.

SERVING:

Serve and enjoy!
