The Kitchen Witch demonstrates an easy recipe for making homemade slider or hamburger buns.

Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Butter 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Honey/Maple syrup 1 Tablespoon
Eggs 1 (at room temperature)
All purpose flour 4 1/2 Cup (72 tbs)
Instant yeast 1 Packet
Salt 1 1/2 Teaspoon

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. In a microwave safe Pyrex container, heat milk, water, honey and butter until butter is melted. Let cool to Luke warm. Whisk in egg.

3. Into a large bowl, transfer the milk butter mixture and whisk in salt and yeast.

4. Add flour, a little at a time and beat after each addition, just until dough comes together.

5. When the dough pulls together, (it will form a soft ball) turn it out onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.

6. Divide dough into 12 -16 equal pieces. This will depend on the size you want for the finished bun - 16 makes perfect buns for sliders.

7. Shape into smooth balls, flatten slightly, and place on the lined baking sheet. Let rise for 30-35 minutes or until doubled in size.

8. Preheat oven to 400 degree F.

9. Pop the baking sheet in oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

10. Serve and enjoy!

Brush the tops with egg wash or melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds before baking (optional).
